CBBC was launch on January 1st 1960 as “Children’s Television”. The name was changed to “Children’s BBC in 1985 and finally to “CBBC” in 1997. It is a BBC children’s television strand aimed for older children aged from 6 to 12. CBBC broadcasts from 7 am to 9 pm on the digital CBBC Channel, available on most UK digital platforms(wikipedia). CBBC is home to TV programmes including the long running Blue Peter, Grange Hill, Newsround Arthur and Wolfblood.
